Take Mom To These Brunch and Dinner Spots This Mother’s Day

No matter how old we are, our moms take care of us, whether it’s a visit when we need it most, a comforting phone call or a homecooked dinner. But on Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12, we can return the favor to the most important woman in our lives by taking her out in Washington, D.C. for a delicious meal.

Our city is full of gourmet brunch and dinner spots, many of which can be found just a hop, skip and a jump from our 1331 Maryland apartments. Here are some of our favorite restaurants for Mother’s Day reservations.

Founding Farmers & Distillers, located at 600 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, D.C. which is 11 minutes from your 1331 Maryland apartment, is a distillery and eatery with a wide-ranging international menu and drinks mixed with housemade spirits.

Everything that Farmers & Distillers serves, including all of their food and drinks, are made from scratch in the restaurant. Co-owner Michael Vucurevich and Chef Joe Goetze are continually developing the menu and crafting new ways to serve guests, starting with simple, high-quality ingredients.

Georgia Brown’s, located at 950 15th St NW, Washington, D.C. which is 12 minutes from your 1331 Maryland apartment, is an elegant eatery pairing upscale twists on classics from the southern coast with occasional live jazz.

Georgia Brown’s, which opened in 1993, is known for its Southern hospitality at its finest and low country cuisine at its best. It’s also known for serving seafood at the height of freshness and dishes with flavors pulled from regional culture and history, such as jumbo lump crab cakes, Carolina gumbo, whole red snapper and shrimp and grits.
