Celebrate International Beer Day At These Washington, D.C. Breweries

During the sweltering temperatures of a Washington, D.C. summer, there’s nothing like a cold glass – or can or bottle – of beer to take the heat away and also enjoy a laid-back August afternoon. Which is exactly why on Aug. 5, we’ll celebrate International Beer Day, which is now celebrated in 80 countries across the world.

Despite the name of the holiday, you can celebrate International Beer Day right at home in Washington, D.C. thanks to our many local breweries who are always putting unique spins on this favorite drink. Check out these breweries near your 1331 Maryland apartment this Aug. 5!

Atlas Brew Works, located at 2052 West Virginia Ave NE #102, Washington, D.C. which is eight minutes from your 1331 Maryland apartment, is a simple brewery producing several craft beers that also offers tastings and sells growlers.

Atlas Brew Works was created by Justin Cox, who started brewing as an at-home passion that over the years grew into an obsession. In 2013, Justin discovered a small warehouse in the Atlas District. At the time, very few people thought of it as up-and-coming, however, Justin knew that with the right team and a lot of hard work, a local brewery whose mission was to simply bring people together over delicious craft beer would be successful.
