Planning a Valentine's Day Date Night in Washington DC - During Covid

Like all things this past year, Valentine’s Day dinner will probably be a little different this year as our nation continues to take precautions during COVID19. However, if there’s one thing this pandemic has taught us – it’s that love conquers all. Here in Washington DC, many businesses have found a way to still share the love this February.

Many gourmet restaurants now offer take-out throughout the city, so you can bring date night right into your 1331 Maryland kitchen. Try one of these Washington DC restaurants that are serving up specials you’ll love for St. Valentine’s Day.

Albi – Located about 10 minutes from your 1331 Maryland apartment, Albi transports you across the Mediterranean with it’s Levantine menu offerings. Enjoy aromatic spiced favorites like lamb or crab, or a smokey lobster and vegetable dish. Top it all off with your favorite Mediterranean wines and halva-sea salt chocolate chip coolies – the perfect substitute to your typical box of Valentine’s chocolates. Their Valentine’s special is offered for both pick-up and delivery.

Fight Club – Okay so this may not be the first place you’d usually think of for a romantic Valentine’s Day evening, but hear us out! They are offering some really cool specials for the Day of Love – both for couples, and for singles. While normally you’d go to Fight Club for one of those mouth-watering locally sourced sandwiches, on February 14th they’re dropping the sandwiches for the day and putting on their fancy oven mitts. Couples and singles alike can order their three or two course meal, complete with lobster bucatini and wagyu bistro steak. The real cherry on top here? Their take out and delivery specials for the night all come with poetry to share with your special someone – and special access to a Spotify playlist of Fight’s Club’s favorite selected love songs.
